Staff Application

Ready to Answer the Call?

New Staff

We hope that you have been able to get a glimpse of what serving on staff at Rockmont is all about. If, after having read the preceding pages, you feel that this is the type of influence you wish to have on the lives of young people — if you can make these goals yours and meet the expectations listed, we encourage you to apply using the secure Online Staff Application at the bottom of this page.

The Process

After we receive your completed application, we will contact your references, conduct a background check, and schedule an interview with you. We prefer to meet in person for the interview, but in some cases a phone or video interview.

Returning Staff

If you have worked at Rockmont previously, after clicking the Online Staff Application link below and then entering your name, you will be asked to provide the password you created when you first applied to Rockmont. You will then update your application by verifying that all information is correct and answering a few questions about your previous summer.

Keep in mind…

… that this application is the first glimpse we have of you! So, help us to take you seriously by fully and professionally completing the application. Consider these application and interview tips.

Application Tips

  • Use complete sentences and correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Give intentional thought to your answers.
  • Provide four references from different areas of your life. These might be supervisors, pastors, mentors, teachers, scout leaders, coaches, etc. No more than one reference should be a relative or friend.
  • Be sure to provide us with a recent photo in which we can clearly see your face.

Interview Tips

  • Be on time, even for a phone interview. If you are running late, let us know!
  • Consider your attire. What kind of impression do you want to make?
  • Turn off your cell phone so you can be fully present.
  • Give a firm handshake and make eye contact. This is good practice for opening days when you’ll be greeting parents, and it’s a good life skill, too!
  • Speak clearly. Don’t mumble.
  • Breathe deeply and relax!

If you have questions about working at Rockmont, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you in more detail about our mission and work opportunities.
