For more than 60 years, Camp Rockmont has provided a quality residential program for boys from around the world. Since 2009 we have provided the same level of care and intentional youth development to both boys and girls in our own back yard through a day camp program. The Rockmont Day Camp incorporates many aspects of our overall mission of growth: discovering new skills, exploring the natural world, and building a community that values each child.
This year we are proud to welcome Natalie Morris as the 2019 Day Camp Director! Natalie has an extensive background with Camp Rockmont. In previous summers Natalie has served in several supervisory and administrative positions. During the school year Natalie is an Elementary School Teacher and enjoys anything outdoors including rock climbing, snow skiing, hiking, and being on the river. She graduated from Georgia College & State University with a degree in Outdoor Education and worked in the outdoor industry as the Student Services Coordinator for Landmark Learning, Program Director for a Wilderness Travel Company, and lead outdoor programs for the Asheville School. She completed her Masters Degree in Education from Western Carolina University and has a passion for incorporating hands-on experiential education into the learning environment. She is also certified as a Wilderness First Responder, CPR/First Aid, PCIA climbing instructor, ACA Swift Water Rescue, and Project WET/WILD instructor. Natalie’s understanding of the mission of Rockmont, her love of children and outdoor education, and her contagious enthusiasm make her the perfect choice to lead Day Camp!
