Wednesday: Keeping the Fun Rolling

Shawn Marler July 8, 2016

On Wednesday, the weather stayed beautiful all day for the few Buckeyes and Hemlocks that went on the water skiing trip to Lake James and for our day full of Tribal Activities and afternoon Skills back here at camp.

Before our pre-lunch Free Swim, all of Bear Camp played a big game of Super Mario, in which the campers have to figure out how to save the princesses from Bowser. Deer Camp participated in a Skill Shuffle, while the Poplars got a little crazy during a game of Battleball. Once lunch had ended, everyone went to their afternoon skills for the last time of the session and was able to achieve goals and continue growing in that skill. The thunderstorm after dinner kept us indoors where Bear and Deer Camps played board games and listened to music in Eden Hall, while the Mountain Campers gathered in the gym to play dodgeball, basketball, and other games of the kind. The fun continued!

All of the campers made it back to their cabins safely tonight, to enjoy their cabin devotions with the soothing sound of the rainfall in the background. They discussed Matthew 29:1-10, Jesus is Alive Again, and got to talk about how they connected with the story individually and the good news that we find in the fact that Jesus is alive and working in our lives. We are truly looking forward to our last full day with all of our Classic 2 campers tomorrow!
