We had an awesome weekend at camp, and one of the biggest highlights was our camp wide Harry Potter game.
On Saturday, campers set off on a mission to find the seven Horcruxes hidden throughout camp, all while being hunted by villainous Death Eaters lurking around every corner. The entire camp property was full of surprises, and right away, unexpected encounters sent campers sprinting in every direction.
But first, stepping into Eden Hall felt like walking straight into Hogwarts.
The room had been transformed into the Great Hall, with picturesque decorations and award-worthy performances from our staff. Draco Malfoy, Professor Dumbledore, and Professor Snape were seated at the head table, bringing the Wizarding World to life and making the adventure feel real from the very beginning.
One of the most difficult Horcruxes to recover was Ravenclaw’s Diadem. While some Horcruxes were hidden in obscure locations, the challenge with the Diadem wasn’t finding it: it was carrying it safely back to the Whomping Willow.
Wilson and Harrison were among the campers determined to complete the mission.
Faced with an ambush of Death Eaters trying to stop them, they stood their ground, defended the Diadem, and successfully returned it to the Whomping Willow.
As more Horcruxes were destroyed, anticipation continued to build until the game reached its dramatic finale. Campers gathered for an epic showdown as Harry Potter led the charge against Voldemort and his followers.
Cheers erupted across camp as good triumphed over evil, ending the afternoon with one unforgettable battle.
Ryan shared his favorite part of the day: “I enjoyed watching Voldemort fall off the diving board.”
He added, “I also enjoyed that I was with my brother.”
Our Saturday activities are always a ton of fun.
Planning the activities and creating the decorations is a big part of what makes these days special, but what truly brings them to life is the way our campers and staff fully embrace the experience.
Their enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to jump into the adventure together are what turn a fun game into a memory that will last long after camp is over.
