The 2021 Mountain Camp Director is John Crouse VII!

 

 


 

Before we dive into the questions and answers, let’s go over some Rockmont Statistics:

This will be John’s 15th summer at Rockmont, his favorite cabin is Cabin 36, and his favorite meal in the dining hall is any meal that includes biscuits. Keep reading to get to know John better!

 

What is your favorite skill at Rockmont?

Homesteading!

Best place you’ve traveled?

Guatemala, specifically Lake Atitlán.

Why should campers be excited about being in Mountain Camp?

Our goal is simple: squeeze as much fun, friends, and disc golf out of your time at camp as we can! Also Rambo.

What is your go-to snack?

Almonds! 

Favorite book, movie, and podcast?

Book: A Wise Man’s Fear. Movie: The Other Guys. And podcast: Armchair Expert.

What is your favorite cereal from Sugar-Cereal-Saturday?

Cap’n Crunch!

What are you most excited for about the 2021 summer?

Seeing all the powerful ways God moves in the mountains.

What are 3 things you can’t live without?

My family, laughter, and adventures.

Blob! It requires teamwork, grace and precision.

Do you have a favorite memory from Rockmont?

To this day I get goosebumps during the Evening Watches. I really found my love for singing at camp!

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

I’m in the Skeeball hall of fame, and I cry during most episodes of Bones.
