2021’s Bear Camp Director is Daniel Weatherby!

In the video, Daniel explains why and how Bear Camp is going to be an exciting place this summer. And in the interview below, you’ll get a more in-depth look at who Daniel is!

Daniel has been around Rockmont for 22 years, his favorite cabin is Cabin 12, and his favorite meal in the dining hall is anything prepared by Chef Andy for the vegetarian bar. Keep reading to get to know Daniel better!

 

What is your favorite cereal from Sugar-Cereal-Saturday?

I’m a big fan of Special K (with red berries).

What are you most excited for about the 2021 summer?

The collective excitement of being back together for a “normal” summer.

Do you have a favorite memory from Rockmont?

Session B1 of 2013 – It rained 12 out of 13 days, and we had an incredible amount of fun playing in the rain, and coming up with alternative activities.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

I’m a surprisingly good setter in volleyball!

What are 3 things you can’t live without?

Things? Great question. A keyboard, headphones, and my red Arcteryx jacket.

What is your favorite skill at Rockmont?

Homesteading!

Favorite book, movie, or podcast?

Book: Blink. Movie: Moneyball. Podcast: Radiolab.

Best place you’ve traveled?

Stockholm, Sweden!

What is your go-to snack?

Pretzel chips with hummus, yum!
