A Story From the Stables

Shawn Marler February 20, 2018

It is never a dull moment at the Rockmont barn! Our riders and horses have been actively competing in competitions all over the Southeast. Recently, TBopp, Aastro and Baby Horse got in the Christmas Spirit by competing in the Christmas Obstacle Challenge in Morganton, NC. We even hosted a horse show and trail challenge here at Rockmont called the Kori Goodson Trail Challenge.

It has been a big year for our 16-year-old chestnut Arabian, Aastro. Many of you ride Aastro during the summer. He competed in his first horse show, as well as the Big South Fork Ride and Tie in Oneida, TN, and the World Championship Ride and Tie in Orkney Springs, VA. Baby Horse joined Aastro for the epic 35 mile journey during the World Championship.

Finally, for those of you that are Poppy fans, she is healed and back to work teaching lessons. The rest of the horses are doing well and keeping in shape for the summer.

See you this summer!
