Hello Rockmont Families!
We wanted to reach out and let everyone know that Mike Peckham has decided to step down as Camp Director at Rockmont.
Mike began his distinguished service at Rockmont in 2009, working until 2015 when he decided to follow his training into the engineering field. We called him back in 2019, and he has led the camp through a global pandemic, the first summer that Rockmont ever had to cancel (2020), and an ownership transition. Now, as we step into a new structure, Mike has decided that he is ready to turn the reins over. Mike will continue to be a part of the Rockmont family, and we’re excited to see what he’ll bring his gifts to next. Please join us in thanking him and celebrating all that he has accomplished as Camp Director.
In Mike’s words:
“Rockmont is a wonderful place, with a staff that serves with heart, soul, and dedication every single day. It’s been my great pleasure to serve as Director. I’m excited to take some time off for the birth of my first child, and I look forward to seeing all the good news that Rockmont can be for the world.”
As we look ahead to this summer, we are grateful for a veteran team.
Stan Wilson, who has been a part of Rockmont since 1980 and most recently has served as a Director since 2017, will be the Senior Director, working closely with Assistant Directors Daniel Weatherby, Andrew Ginn, Austin Ashcraft. Stacey Estes serves as Camp Administrator and Sarah Becker as Office Manager. Chuck Flournoy, our previous program director and long time Rockmonter, will serve alongside Stan offering additional support and guidance as the General Manager.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
