Sonya Callahan

Sonya grew up right around the corner from camp in the beautiful Swannanoa Valley. She arrives at Rockmont full time after spending over 20 summers on staff in a variety of roles: Roundhouse Attendant, Camp Store Coordinator, and on our Utility Team. Her Rockmont experience is already a making a big impact in our office community!

Sonya also joins our team after working in the classroom for over 24 years in Buncombe County Public Schools! She has a deep love for the Clemson Tigers and can be seen sporting Orange and Purple on college game days.

If you call camp, you’re likely to hear from Sonya on the other end of the line as she is our Camp Registrar! She is a light to the office bringing songs, stories, and lots of laughs. She loves the way that camp can transform the lives of campers and staff.
