Daniel Weatherby
Daniel’s Rockmont Journey began over 25 years ago in 1999. At the age of 8, he arrived and unpacked his bags (with mom’s help) in a set of cubbies in Cabin 1, our youngest cabin. Since then, he’s spent time in every tribe as a camper, 3 years as a counselor, 3 years as a tribal director, as a full time Assistant Director and now as Rockmont’s Associate Director – working in communications, operations, and staff development. Daniel met his wife, Carleigh, at camp in 2016, and they got married at the Rockmont Farm in 2021, surrounded by family and Rockmont friends. They welcomed their daughter, Scout, into the world in April of 2024!
His return to camp in 2018 followed 5 years of traveling as a professional musician for the group Judah & the Lion, through which he made great friends and got to see much of the country and the world.
Daniel loves the way Rockmont creates space for young men to discover confidence within themselves, and has witnessed it first hand.
Daniel, Carleigh, Scout, and their dog Bowie live at camp and enjoy learning about the world through travel, well told stories, and friends, new and old!
