Family Camp FAQ
Will my family have a cabin to ourselves?
Yes! When you apply and become enrolled in the cabin tier of your choice, you will be assigned a cabin that will be your family’s. We want you to feel like you have your own space.
Can we bunk with a family we are friends with?
Of course! Reach out to us at info@rockmont.com if you are interested in bunking with a family friend. We will send you both login instructions and let you know of any adjustments to your family and the bunking family’s tuition for these sessions
Can we book a portion of this family retreat for a prorated cost?
Unfortunately, no. We want the Family Camp experience to reflect what Summer Camp is like, and we’ve found this length of session will be a great representation of Summer Camp! You’re of course welcome to come and go as you need, but we’re prepared to serve you every meal and generally have everything you need to have the best time as a family at camp.
Can we bring the family dog?
We love dogs, but camp is best experienced when the only dogs on property are the residential pups. The good news is, the dogs that live on camp are very friendly and you’re welcome to say hello to them!
What do I need to bring?
We will send you a packing list upon your enrollment!
Can I bring my own beverages?
Yes, you can bring a personal cooler and store it in the cabin or in your car. We don’t allow food in the cabins (to reduce the possibility of the presence of critters). If you are of legal drinking age, you may choose to bring alcohol and consume responsibly during your stay. Providing alcohol to any persons under 21 is prohibited. You are restricted from consuming alcohol or being under the influence during participation in skills and activities, as many of these require your awareness.
Are there counselors available to watch my kids?
We’re counting on you to join the adventure with your children and be with them throughout all the excitement. Our counselors and staff will be at most of the hosted skills to guide you, and facilitate the experience, and provide the Rockmont spirit, but they won’t be the official kid-wranglers. Every kiddo needs their guardian to join in the fun, whether it’s a staff-led skill or a DIY exploration!
Is there internet available?
Yes! Internet connection will be available to you in Eden Hall. While we want this experience to be Fully Connected, we know you may need to touch base with work or home. We will provide you the password to our guest network, and you are welcome to utilize it as needed.
Let's talk Health & Wellness/Dietary Needs. What Can I expect?
We will have a health care professional on-site to assist you. They will be located in the SHIP throughout the day/at night, and in Eden Hall during meal times.
If you have dietary needs, reach out to our team at info@rockmont.com to communicate those!
Is this a fully connected experience, or can I live stream it?
It’s our hope that you will be fully connected throughout the experience! Our staff will continue to work without their cell phones. We will also have photographers around to take photos, and you will receive all of the photos following the experience!
