Camping Out at Rockmont

Camping Out at Rockmont

Spending a night under the stars is a core part of the Rockmont experience! Campouts are designed to be approachable for all campers while offering the right level of adventure for each age group. Every Tribe (age group) embarks on an overnight camping trip, always alongside their cabinmates and counselors, creating an experience that strengthens friendships and builds confidence. Younger campers enjoy an introduction to outdoor camping in familiar settings, while older campers enjoy embracing new challenges alongside their cabinmates and counselors. Whether roasting marshmallows over a fire, telling stories beneath the stars, or waking up to the sounds of nature, camping out at Rockmont is a time to explore, bond, and embrace the great outdoors.

  • Two Week Campers will go on one overnight cabin campout. These campouts will be differentiated by age group. The older the camper, the further they go into the 600 acres of mountain wilderness on Rockmont’s property. Our oldest campers may travel in Tribal groups for an off-camp campout with their counselors and Tribal Director.
  • June and Main session campers will go on two overnight campouts, at least one of which will be an off-camp campout.
  • Mini Camp campers will not go on any camp outs, but do get to make s’mores with their cabinmates!
